Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains what data Bimetric ("we", "us") collects when you use bimetric.io, and how we use it. The free 3D viewer works entirely without an account and without uploading your model to us for anything beyond rendering it in your session; a Bimetric account is only needed for paid features.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, managed by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Your content — the IFC model files, project names, and clash/coordination data you create in a Bimetric account.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Basic usage data — standard web server logs (e.g. request timestamps, error rates) used to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use information

We use this information to operate the Service you’ve asked for: authenticating you, storing and rendering your models, running the clash checks you request, processing subscription payments, and communicating with you about your account.

4. Where data is stored

Account and project data is stored in a managed Postgres database; uploaded model files are stored in managed blob storage. Both run on Vercel’s infrastructure, with encryption in transit.

5. Third-party service providers

We rely on a small number of specialized providers to run the Service, each acting as a processor of the data described above on our behalf:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Our payment processor — subscription billing.
• Vercel — hosting, database, and file storage.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a project or your account, the associated models and data are removed from our active storage.

7. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your projects and models at any time from the dashboard. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Depending on where you’re located, you may have additional rights under applicable law (e.g. GDPR in the EU, KVKK in Türkiye).

8. Cookies

We use the minimum cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your interface preferences (like light/dark theme). We don’t use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
